On its 4pm bulletin, the Department of Health records 284 new cases of COVID-19 in the country, bringing total to 4,932.
The death toll due to the coronavirus jumps to 315, with 18 new deaths, and 242 have already recovered as DOH reports forty-five new recoveries.
The health department revealed Monday morning that the worst case scenario is that the pandemic will last until January next year if there will be “no intervention”.
Meanwhile, as of April 12, 33, 814 individuals have already been tested for possible infection. The DOH said that they will be increasing capacity with 10,000 targeted tests by end of April.
The whole Luzon island remains under “enhanced community quarantine” until April 30, and other regions in Visayas and Mindanao have replicated the guidelines following reports on cases.
